Developing for Windows/OSX/Linux

Postby erikdpeterson » 11 Apr 2015, 19:06

Hi All,

I was hoping someone from the dev team could answer a few questions? Do you have plans to support PC/Mac/Linux app building? Can the Android code be used to connect to the camera from a PC?

Thanks,
Erik

Just curious that you intend to control the camera using a PC?

I have been working with 360 imaging a while and would like the ability to access the camera from a development machine for a number of reasons, least interesting being testing and debugging. Has anyone tried using an Android emulator?

Is it possible to use gPhoto to control THETA through PTP?

Hello!
You can use this NodeJS module:
https://github.com/shokai/node-ricoh-theta

Also I'm connecting to Ricoh throughout Genymotion.

Hello everyone,

I developed an open source library written in Java.
You can control THETA by using this library.
This library implements PTP-IP.

I only tested on OS X. But I think it also works on Windows and Linux.

You can get source code from GitHub.

You can get JAR from Maven Central Repository.
