HDR and Time Lapse ?

Postby brianlrichards » 24 Apr 2015, 15:49

Here are two videos of a soon to be released HDR iOSApp for the Ricoh Theta.
I wonder if this could be combined with time lapse, that would be awesome.

There are two awesome apps for the iPhone that produce HDR Timelapse and HDR Video, see

Apps like that for the Theta could be a winner for the RICOH THETA Developers Contest!

Brad, I understand that you app is designed primarily for creating HDR Images for Visual Effects, Video Game Development, or Virtual Reality.HDR Images for Visual Effects, Video Game Development, or Virtual Reality. However for purely photographic HDR uses it would be great to be able to choose the number and range of bracket shots and even set the central shot exposure time manually or automatically. Brian

I'll take your requests into consideration. My concern with time lapse is that you can't use the built in camera functions for it and do HDR. you would have to leave your phone In the app and active wifi to the camera for the full lime lapse. This is what put the breaks on the feature for me. The battery life of both devices would be pretty limited.
Any suggestions ?

I understand that HDR and timelapse may not be possible together with the Theta. Of the two I think, full control of HDR would be a natural enhancement to your app or perhaps a make a separate app.
