Work in progress - CamTwist plugin to convert fisheye to equirectangular

Postby kfarr » 02 Mar 2016, 10:30

Rumor has it that Ricoh will soon be releasing an official plugin to convert dual fisheye to equirectangular panoramic. Let's hope so! :D

In the meantime for fun, I started a project to create a camtwist effect (aka quartz composition) that does this realtime to try using for live streaming. (Mac OS X only)

Don't expect anything great, it's a hack that converts half of one of the 2 theta images to equirectagular -- barely. But it is at least a proof of concept that shows a potential framework to solve this problem for others to use with live streaming.

You can help! 2 ways:
* Can you follow the directions and see the same output I am with your theta s camera connected via USB?
* Do you know how to improve on this code? :geek:

Good luck and thanks for any feedback to make this work!! :!:  :ugeek:
