Esditing Theta360Video

Postby hikosaemon » 27 Mar 2015, 08:56

Hello, pardon me putting the question here but is there any app created, or method known that allows trimming/stitching/overlaying music on videos shot with Theta360 that can be uploaded and viewed in YouTube's 360 format?

I tried editing with Adobe's Premiere Pro and After Effects. That's possible. You can use all the creativity you can imagine. The resulting video can be viewed in the desktop version of the Theta App. However, it can't get it to work when uploading to Youtube.

I also tried editing the original video directly on the Youtube site, but from the moment you change anything, the 360° metadata is gone.

So, if someone finds I way ... I'm glad to hear it.

Update: it does work on Youtube.
Inject the resulting, edited video with 360 metadata, following this procedure:

Upload the video. And your edited video can be shared via Youtube.
