Bluetooth Low Energy for Ricoh Theta V via Android

Postby neuendorf » 28 Feb 2019, 08:32

I see from the logcat of the Theta V that the app uuid is truncating at 20 bytes per the low energy requirement. I've seen solutions that show a gate id and recognization can be set to notify a second write is needed but that seems to be vendor specific. I also see a long write in the 4.2 ble spec that seems to be set as a write type Default in Android. (that shows truncated as well in the logcat of the theta V) There is a working example using the Web Bluetooth API but it's write routine accepts the full 36 byte uuid. so it seems to do something behind the scenes. something not vendor specific?
