Connecting with Bluetooth

Postby aleksczajka » 12 Mar 2019, 17:58

Hi Everyone,

I'm building an iOS app for iPhone that needs to connect to an external camera using Bluetooth. In the process of searching for this compatible camera I found out that it needs to be MFI Certified in order to be accessible to a new app. Not only that, the manufacturer of the camera needs to give you the protocols and expressed permission to build the app. Well...got really existed when I found that Theta camera has a Bluetooth SDK...sure, it's Objective-C, but I can live with that. So, I contacted support to make sure it will be compatible and they told me that the camera needs to connect via WiFi not Bluetooth.... So, getting to my question... has anyone been able to connect to this camera with Bluetooth...and if not... What is this Bluetooth SDK about? https://developers.theta360.com/en/docs/bluetooth_reference/
