App which does auto-bracketing (HDR)

Postby mbirth » 10 Jun 2015, 12:55

Is there any app available for the Theta which does automatic bracketing, i.e. capture multiple photos with different exposure settings?

Yes. I wrote it.
HDR Bracket Pro, it's on iOS in the App Store:

It's targed at the VFX community, there are several films shooting right now using it on set every day.

You don't happen to have this for Android, do you? Also I think it's a bit expensive for private use...

I may roll it out for android in the future. So far some people have bought iPod touches and iPads to use the app if they only had android.

I have tested this out and it is awesome, with full control on up to 24 bracketed shots, plus it will make a 3 shot HDR render that is 2048 x 1024 on your tablet or phone, and all for just $1.95, I have been in touch with the developer and he says there will be an Apple IOS version out next week.

Did you already ask if he/she can make the app download the photos in full resolution (like Theta Transfer beta)?

'Simple HDR' by Built Light does bracketing and works with both the Theta m15, and newer Theta S

Curious, why don't just use the default Theta S apps for HDR shot?

1.m15 model don't have built-in
2.S model HDR's tone isn't looks good
3.HDR filter is work only at auto exposure mode

I'm working add this feature to my app 'Spheremote' too, maybe next release.

1) Agreed ( Luckily I am using the S)
2) The default HDR Mode is (Arty), which I normally adjust the shadow & highlights in PS to compensate
3) Yes, HDR filter is work only at auto exposure mode, but you can adjust the EV compensation hence making it quite useful.

I'm additionally searching for this multiple occasions prior Have you at any point been in a circumstance where you needed to make an HDR picture, however, the Auto Exposure Bracketing of your camera simply did not cut it? Have a look
